To maintain the Secret Santa’s identity and to make things easier we propose the following. We can each add a comment to this post with wishlist items. List anything you think might help, clothing sizes, interests, etc.
You cannot edit a comment after you leave it, so if you have additional items at a later date, just leave new comments. I know this isn’t ideal, but I thought this way, everyone would have one place to correspond with each other.

For my birthday next year I want the rest.
If the above turns out to cost more than $40 I would like a new timer/temperature probe thingy. (mine broke) Any kitchen gadget would be fun. I probably don’t need cookbooks. Actually for my handmade gift you could take home about 50 cookbooks. Then I would have more room for appliances in the pantry. Now that I thought of it thats what I really want. Take cookbooks! Forget peace on earth.

December 1st, 2007 at 5:15 amIn response to Deb’s last post…. yeah right. My kids are anxiously awaiting a nice big lump of coal. I am thinking of a nice shock collar to get these little munchkins in line. I especially like the type used to teach dogs to not bark. It shocks every time they bark. I imagine it would work quite nicely for children you say “No!” constantly.
Alright, they really aren’t that bad. If I just close my eyes and hold my hands over my ears, I hardly notice that they are misbehaving. I just hope that Santa uses similar tactics.

This is ridiculous! We’ve been at it all day and haven’t even made a dent! Oh well, I guess it’s the price that we have to pay for all of these beautiful trees.

December 2nd, 2007 at 6:45 amI thought of something. I would like copies of the book THE THINGS THEY CARRIED by Tim O’Brien for my class. You can get them used from 3-4 dollars at Amazon, but it may take a few weeks for them to come.
The handmade gift could be you going to area high schools and asking them if they have copies to donate to a poor teacher at East High School. The schools won’t donate their copies, but if the students have to purchase the book on their own, the school could leave out a box for the students to put their copies in when they are done. I know both Olentangy high schools read this book. I think New Albany and Westerville reads it too.
If this is too crazy, here are some other ideas:
-reams of colored paper
-reams of white office paper
-big poster size Post-It paper (white-no line)
-markers (crayola)
-colored pencils (five or six packs)
-pencils

If we all end up staying in town on Monday, is anyone interested in going to church with us on Christmas Eve? Heritage has 4 services on the 24th at 4:00, 5:30, 7:00 or 11:00. We’re flexible and would love to have some family with us. All of the December services have been amazing!
Also, let us know if you’re interested in going with us this weekend. We could go to the 6:00 PM service on Saturday night and have dinner together… or they have 2 services on Sunday at 9:00 or 11:00.
