Yesterday I was amazed to find daffodils are starting to push through the mulch in our backyard. Amusing since they are predicting about 1 foot of snow for us over the next two days. This is the third year since we planted our asparagus. I have to admit that I am anxiously awaiting our spring harvest. Last year all of our small spears were frozen back to the soil by a late season freeze. Hopefully we will be more fortunate this year.
