Fast Dial extension for Firefox causes problems

Firefox informed me that I had a few extensions that needed to be updated this morning. One of them was Fast Dial.

Fast Dial is an extension that mimics functionality within the web browser Opera that allows you to quickly go to web sites.

After upgrading this morning, I noticed that my web developer extension wasn’t able to close two of its toolbars. The upgrade also added three new items to the top of my quick dial list and deleted everything in the bottom row. Lastly, it added a Google search box to the top of the extension. Firefox has a search box by default so this is utterly useless.

I removed Fast Dial this morning and I am recommending that other users do the same.
