Give a laptop, Get a laptop
Now through December 31st you can give a laptop and get a laptop in exchange. The cost is $400 and you get a $200 tax deduction. This is the laptop formerly known as the 100 dollar laptop. While it hasn’t quite made the $100 price range, it is currently about $188 for a laptop.
This isn’t a normal laptop. The screen is fully visible in daylight or inside and the screen can be inverted for reading books. It has no moving parts and is impervious to dust and water. It is meant to go into the worst environments. It has cool networking features that allow it to find all other laptops around it if a network isn’t available (think classroom).
The give one get one program will directly benefit the children in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Haiti, Mongolia and Rwanda. Go to the web site and take a look.
If you are more visual there is a video in the article here showing details of the laptop.
