Sweeping leaves from concrete
Have you ever tried to sweep leaves from concrete? Maybe a garage floor or a driveway?
Well I recently found out that a broom is the wrong tool for the job. The problem I always had is that the leaves would lay flat enough that the broom would slip right over the top of them. So I would try to sweep briskly enough to create air to lift them from the concrete. This usually didn’t work either.
Try a plain old rake the next time you need to sweep leaves from a hard surface. The metal tines of a normal leaf rake do a great job at grabbing the leaves even when they are wet.
