How to skip dvd menus

I am especially annoyed for some reason that I have to wait for several minutes before I can get to the main menu on dvds. This is especially prevalent on Disney dvds. They term their feature “fast play” which is actually the “long play”. When you choose this option it plays all of their trailers before getting to your movie.

I have a solution, if you are like me and find this rude.

When the dvd first starts you wont be able to press your menu button or even skip to the next chapter because they in their wisdom have prevented you from doing this. However, you can press stop. After the dvd stops, press your menu button and you likely will see the main menu of the dvd.

A couple of passing points; one, it doesn’t work all the time and two you cannot skip the FBI antipiracy warning.
