The Welker Christmas Gift Exchange

Rules:

1. Gift(s) given must include something made by the gift giver
2. All gifts must not total over $40. This includes the cost of making your homemade gift.
3. You may not have your spouse as your gift recipient.

To maintain the Secret Santa’s identity and to make things easier we propose the following. We can each add a comment to this post with wishlist items. List anything you think might help, clothing sizes, interests, etc.

You cannot edit a comment after you leave it, so if you have additional items at a later date, just leave new comments. I know this isn’t ideal, but I thought this way, everyone would have one place to correspond with each other.

Not really sure what I want this year. I’m very fortunate that I have everything I desire. In general anything do to with cooking or gardening is a safe bet. I also love projects that I can make with the kids. I will try to post some specifics as I come up with ideas. In the mean time, I have separated my Amazon lists into separate areas. An additional thought on gardening is that I am currently fixated on growing huge fruit or vegetables. I have already read the book, Backyard Giants, but any other books along that line would be welcome.

I have been looking for a binocular dissecting microscope for gardening. Maybe somebody has one cheap on EBay.

I added the widgets based on my wish lists. You can create as many wish lists as you want on Amazon. Then you can display those however you want. The comment section is about 480 pixels wide so you can use that as a starting point. I created my widget through the Amazon Affiliate program. You don’t have to create an affiliate account but you can get money back from Amazon if someone follows a link on your widget and then buys something (anything) during that session.

In short, click the Get Widget button at the bottom of any of my lists. Once you make your widget, use the copy code button, come to the blog comment and paste the text. The text will look like geek garbage but will show up differently once it is rendered by the web site.

    Other thoughts.

    1. Seed starting supplies, flats, seed packs. I have often wanted something a little more heavy duty than the traditional cell packs that seem to get trashed each year.

    2. Mother Earth news style stuff, Green living, homesteading…

    3. Microsoft OEM Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000. Microcenter has it everyday for around $30, but you can also buy it on sale at Circuit City and probably Best Buy.

    4. Garden Dibble, (ask dad if you think I am making up the name)

    5. Greenhouse… just kidding, my wife will leave me.

    6. Bird feeders / houses or a bat house

    7. Rain barrels

-I have been working on a digital scrapbook for Kate but I haven’t purchased any of the pages that I’ve created yet. Apparently the website now offers gift cards. See link

-I would like a new hairdryer (one that is like a round brush). Mine is about to throw in the towel and I use it daily.
    -Still thinking…

    Kate:

-Kate doesn’t need ANYTHING and she won’t know the difference… BUT if you feel like you need to get her something…

-Clothes, I would probably suggest 18 or 24 months because even her 12 month sleepers are getting a little snug (we love the soft sleepers with feet, that zip)
-We use Pampers diapers (she wears size 3 currently but if you buy any they should probably be size 4- we like the Baby Dry or Cruisers)

    Hello!
    It’s Daphne again.
This time I am here on Syndey’s behalf.

I know Sydney would love some new shades of nail polish. She may need nail polish remover too?!
I know she thought using the small cotton eye make-up remover pads as a way to take off the polish was really cool.

Hope you are still being nice!
