Join Twitter to fund education

Tim Ferris along with an anonymous donor is running an experiment on Twitter to fund education. You have nothing to lose. Now is a great time to join Twitter or just follow Tim if you are already a member.

1) For every new Twitter follower in the next two weeks, I will donate $1 to DonorsChoose.org, and an anonymous supporter will match $2, for a total of $3 to U.S. public school classrooms per follower. For now, the matching limit is tentatively capped at 50,000 new followers, though I’m open to increasing it later. 50,000 new followers would mean $150,000 to U.S. public school education, and I hope to double or triple this total with a few twists.”

In all honesty, what is the harm? Even if nothing comes out of it. That blog post that you sent is indeed interesting but I doubt that she has actually read his book, if she has then she totally missed the point. The book is essentially about living your life, not about skipping out on work. The Four hour work week is many things, but from the zen side of life, it is about avoiding the “deferred life plan”. The idea that we work at something we hate or dislike to be able to do something we enjoy later. Tim Ferris never suggests that you shouldn’t work. He is working at things that he is passionate about.

In the end, if someone like Bill Gates gets a school named after him because he donates 2 mil to a district. What is the difference? Tim Ferris is pretty public to not be held accountable.

Read the book, you’ll enjoy it. If not his book, read the Monk and the Riddle.

I just started ipelemmnting the 4 Hour Body meal plan into my diet and I love it! However, the book can sometimes be vague when referring to what foods are allowed. I was wondering if anyone knew if Mayonnaise is allowed, as it has zero carbs and made mostly from egg yolks. Also, is there any tips I can use to make a related judgment call in the future? Thanks! -DeAnna
